When presented the opportunity to work with Anglin PR and the University of Oklahoma on their 2013 research report, we knew it was going to be special. Several of the research programs at the university are at the forefront of their respective fields on the national and often global stage.
For the project, six researchers were showcased in a series of articles and videos to promote University programs that range from early childhood development and advanced radar, to biofuels and nanotechnology. In each of the segments, researchers spoke about advances that have been made possible through the power of collaboration and how these advances will benefit our everyday lives.
The different components of the final report included, a printed publication, six video segments, an online version of the report with embedded video and an app available for download free of charge on Apple's App Store. The design of the report is based on a grid system with clean design, bold type and engaging photos that have been configured for optimal viewing in print, online and on smart devices in both horizontal and vertical formats. Even the stock of the printed component was a choice made with intention. A bright white superfine uncoated paper stock delivers a tactile feel to the printed piece while the superfine grain ensured that images would reproduce with a vibrancy most often associated with gloss sheets.
Through the creation of multiple formats, The 2013 University of Oklahoma Research Report has been made available to a wider audience than the original target market to educate and inform the community with ease and clarity while maintaining structure and unity.
